28/01/22

The much-debated Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market (DSM Directive) which impacts authors, online platforms, and internet users was due to be implemented in the EU by 7 June 2021, but only a few members states have done so.

In this webinar, lawyers from our Nordic offices will give you a general introduction to the DSM Directive and highlight some of the key provisions of the Directive relating to the press publishers’ rights, platform liability, and fair renumeration for authors and performers.

Following the general introduction, lawyers from each Nordic country will provide you with a status on the transposition of the Directive into national law in their respective countries along with analyses and comments focusing on the mentioned key provisions.

  • Jonas Holm, Senior Associate, Sweden
  • Teemu Pitkäniemi, Associate, Finland
  • Oscar Lorentz Melaa, Associate, Norway
  • Marlene Winther Plas, Partner, Denmark
